Dependent Child Sponsorship

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Live in Canada, or plan to return to Canada once your spouse or partner becomes a permanent resident of Canada.
• Be able and willing to provide for the basic financial needs of your family member for three years.

They must have an eligible relative, spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner who meets the requirements to be a sponsor. They must prove their identity, age, and relationship to their sponsor. the applicant and their dependent family members must not be inadmissible

Sponsor your family (without the right of permanent residence fee), Sponsorship fee ($75), and principal applicant processing fee ($490)

Step 1: If you’re eligible to become a sponsor, you must submit an interest to sponsor form. Suppose a document is available, so everyone who wants to introduce one can.

Step 2: After the online form closes, we review the form submissions and remove any duplicates.

We randomly select and invite potential sponsors to apply to sponsor their parents and grandparents. We email the invitations and post the invitation status on our site.

Step 3: If you’re invited to apply, we must receive your application package by the deadline in your invitation.

Generally speaking, you would need approximately CAD 15,500 to immigrate to Canada as an individual application. Couples would need around CAD 21,000, while families with children require between $25,000 to CAD 30,000.

1. Sponsorship applications take approximately 12 months to process from start to finish. They are typically not processed much faster than 12 months, but they can take longer, depending on the nature of your case.

Proof of funds is how you show us that you have enough money to settle in Canada. If we invite you to apply, you must give written proof that you have this money.
